Galleries and lots of photos in stubs

[rievdat wikiteavsttain]

Hei! Thank you for adding in your images to articles in the Northern Saami Wikipedia! It is lovely to see such good quality photos, especially in articles we haven't had photos in before. A small request though: please don't put in lots of photos when the article is a stub or really short. For those articles, we have been adhering to a policy of 1-2 photos per article, usually on the righthand side, so as to not overwhelm the article. Unfortunately, in the Northern Saami Wikipedia, a lot of our articles are stubs :/ That said, please accept my thanks again for helping us out :) -Yupik (ságastallan) čakčamánu 23 b. 2020 dii. 20.28 (UTC)

Thanks for the hint! For most articles it is certainly correct not to include too many photos. But an article like "Nepal" lends itself to being illustrated with a number of pictures. A German proverb teaches: "Ein Bild sagt mehr als tausend Worte." (A picture is worth a thousand words.) This is particularly important for a very short article and may motivate another Wikipedian who knows the relevant language to expand the article. Have a good time and thank you for not simply reversing my change. --Gerd Eichmann (ságastallan) čakčamánu 24 b. 2020 dii. 8.23 (UTC)
